The Manifesto
Fashion forgot its roots.
We are going back to ours.
Every brand says it has a story. Most of them are lying. The story is a spreadsheet with a mood board stapled to it. The heritage is a font choice. The culture is a pattern lifted from a community that never saw a royalty cheque.
We are not that.
DHARMA exists because there are 50 million Hindus living outside India — people who carry an ancient, extraordinary civilisation inside them — and not a single premium brand that speaks to who they actually are. Not a temple souvenir. Not a political statement. Something that sits at the intersection of where they came from and where they are going.
"We are not reclaiming heritage as nostalgia. We are reclaiming it as identity. There is a difference. One looks back. The other moves forward — and knows exactly who it is while it does."
Collection I is 108 pieces. The number is not arbitrary. The sun is 108 times its own diameter from the Earth. The moon is 108 times its diameter from us. Vedic astronomers calculated this without telescopes — through observation, patience, and an understanding of the cosmos that modern science has only recently caught up to. A mala holds 108 beads. One for every mantra. The circuit is complete at 108. It does not continue.
Neither does this collection.
Each of the 108 pieces is dedicated to a Sanskrit virtue — a piece of philosophy that survived thousands of years because it was true. Your piece carries your virtue. Not as a graphic. As a commitment. The embroidery on the chest. The label at the neck. The number that is yours and no one else's.
The fabric is 440 GSM brushed cotton, made in India. Not because it is cheaper. Because it should be. The garment was always going to come from the same place the philosophy did. That is not a marketing decision. It is the only decision that makes sense.
This is not a drop. It is a covenant. 108 people will own this. The archive closes when the last piece ships. No restock. No exceptions. No apologies.
Wear your roots. Not as nostalgia. As identity.

Craft & Origin
Cut, sewn, and finished
in India.
Every piece in Collection I is produced in a single, limited batch in India. There is no mass production. No overseas print facility. No intermediary. Each garment is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in the same country that gave us the philosophy it carries.
This is not outsourced. This is not printed on demand. This is craft — meticulous, intentional, and unrepeatable.
440 GSM.
Why it matters.
Most garments sit at 280–320 GSM. We use 440 GSM brushed cotton fleece. Heavy enough to hold its structured, boxy silhouette without collapsing. Soft enough to feel like a second skin by the second wear.
At this weight, the garment has presence. You feel it when you pick it up. You feel it differently when you put it on.
The Virtues
108 pieces. 108 virtues.
One is yours.
सत्य
Satya · Truth
"Truth is not spoken. It is worn."
The modern world rewards performance. Satya is the refusal to perform. The person who carries this virtue does not seek validation — they are the standard others are measured against.
तेज
Tejas · Radiance
"You do not find radiance. You remember it."
Tejas is the inner fire that burns without fuel. It is not charisma — it is presence. The kind of gravity that makes a room rearrange itself around you without a word being spoken.
धैर्य
Dhairya · Patience
"Patience is not waiting. It is knowing."
In a world optimised for speed, Dhairya is an act of defiance. The person who holds this virtue understands that the right things do not arrive early — and they are never anxious about that.
शक्ति
Shakti · Strength
"Strength is not force. It is rootedness."
Shakti is the power that does not need to announce itself. It is the tree that bends in the storm and does not fall. This virtue belongs to people who have already survived what would have broken others.
करुणा
Karuna · Compassion
"Compassion is not softness. It is clarity."
To see another's pain without flinching and to stay — that is Karuna. It is not the compassion of comfort. It is the compassion of someone who has faced their own darkness and chose to remain present for others anyway.
Your virtue is revealed when your piece ships. It cannot be chosen. It finds you.
